I *HEART* FACES DRAMATIC BLACK & WHITE CHALLENGE

I LOVE THE  ”I HEART FACES” BLOG. IT IS A FABULOUS PLACE THAT HAS WEEKLY PHOTOGRAPHY CHALLENGES.  ANYONE CAN PARTICIPATE AND I THINK IT IS GREAT WAY TO SEE THE WORK OF SO MANY AMAZINGLY TALENTED PHOTOGRAPHERS (BOTH PRO AND HOBBYISTS ALIKE).

After yesterday’s session I find myself speechless. Capturing images of this beautiful 7 day old beauty was an amazing and emotional experience.  The love her parents have for her was palpable and to be in the presence of that love was magical at best.  Experiencing the joy , love and wonder in these precious family moments reminds me of how blessed I am to share and captures these memories. It truly is awe inspiring and life altering in every way that is good.

Thank you Karla, Shem and Holden for allowing me to capture your new amazing daughter/sister.  She is quite the charmer!

Ok, I just have to make a small note about the next image.  You may have guessed it but it completely and utterly cracked me up!  I mean look at the look on her face. Is that not a laugh out loud moment?

“Words make you think a thought. Music makes you feel a feeling. A song makes you feel a thought.”

Yep you read that right, “I HAVE A THEME SONG”. It may be dorky, but I am part dork and happily proud of it. What is a theme song you ask? A theme song is the song you hear in your head (& your heart). Perhaps you hear it when you take on something new or when you are feeling blue (HA! I rhymed). It can remind you of what you want, where you are going and how you want to feel.  In a nutshell it is a musical touch stone.

My theme song has been one of my long time favorites and recently it just kept popping up over and over  for me towards the end of last year.  So when January rolled around I decided to adopt it as my personal theme song. I loaded it on my phone as my ring tone and it is weaved throughout my daily playlist. This song is me……it is absolutely how I feel about my life, where I am at, where I am going, my photography…. my art.   Right now, nothing can stop me; I am right where I want to be, I love who I am and what I create.

Since part of the purpose of this blog is to share parts of me I will share with you my theme song.  Perhaps it will inspire you to find one of your own!

Oh and for those of you who must have eye candy in every post here is a little tribute to Dr. Seuss in honor of his birthday today and of course parades .
