I sincerely can’ t believe that it has been 3 years since I held you in my arms for the first time sweet boy.  You came baring gifts even I could not have imagined. You have brought so much joy and laughter to our lives.  It feels like a fleeting moment and that only yesterday you were smiling for the first time, sitting by yourself, taking your first step and saying your first word.  Each of these milestones and many more have made up these last 3 years and though I want it to slow down a bit I am excited to see what you conquer the next 3.

So HAPPY BIRTHDAY my sweet baby boy. May the year ahead be filled with laughter, love and new discoveries.

I  once again had the honor of photographing another new babe and he was a total champ! Baby K was a perfect model and did everything I wanted without protest.  Also he did so without peeing on me which is always a plus; Woohoo!

His parents are around the same age I was when I had my first boy almost 18 years ago.  Watching them with their little guy reminded me of how I felt holding my eldest in my arms the for the first time.  I can’t believe time has flown by so quickly.   When I have been entrusted with the gift of photographing a gorgeous infant like baby K I try and capture them so that no matter how big they get and no matter how many milestones they complete their parents will always remember. I want them to look at these images 17 years from now and feel the exact way they felt when they first held their beautiful baby in their arms.  If I am able to do that then I know I am giving them a great gift.

Thank you so much Jessica and Ryan for allowing me to be part of such special time in your lives.  Your son is really beautiful and I cannot wait for you to enjoy all those little moments that make being parents the most fun job in the world.

Newborns are some of my favorite subjects. Isn’t it amazing that in those small bundles of joy lies endless possibilities? When I am photographing them, not only am I trying to create images that their parents will long cherish but I am also trying to capture their innocence; their perfection. Newborn babies are all things beautiful. They are “LOVE” personified and I am fortunate enough to have the distinct privilege of capturing some of their first images.

Yesterday, I had the honor of photographing gorgeous baby “D”. Not only is he incredibly handsome (as you can tell from his pictures) but he was one of the most alert newbies I have ever photographed. In fact, if it hadn’t been for my very good friend/volunteer assistant Christy he wouldn’t have slept a wink our whole shoot. I personally think he was afraid to close his eyes because he thought we would have a party while he was out. Even though he was awake he was a total trooper and he allowed us to fiddle with him without complaint.

Thank you to his parents and his big brother “T” for allowing me to share in such a special moment in your lives. I cannot wait to get together next spring to take some shots of  the boys together in action. Trust me when I tell you that having two boys means “tons” of action and limitless fun.

I had the best time on my photo session with adorable “K” and from these images you can see it appealed to both the photographer and artist within me. “K” was so much fun and a total joy to photograph. As you can tell she just lights up in front of my camera and she was game for anything which made the session all that more fun. Thanks Cara for allowing me to photograph your beautiful daughter! Today my youngest is turning 2. Time really does move by too quickly. I really cannot believe what a big boy he is now. Even though we aren’t having a big birthday celebration for him we couldn’t let the day go by without a little bit of fun. Yesterday we let Roman have his way with a mini birthday cake. Needless to say it was quite messing but so worth it. He had a great time, enjoyed his cake, made a huge mess and I got some wonderful shots.

*Hint to those mothers out there that want to try this with their little ones; have a bath ready and waiting.*

I had the extreme pleasure of spending the afternoon with Holden and his wonderful mommy at the zoo. What fun place to have a shoot. We had a great time! Holden is a bundle of personality and he was so much fun to photograph. It really was such an honor to capture him because he really is the midst of discovering the big exciting world he lives in. Thanks again guys, it was so much fun! You are both truly special!
