Denver Senior Photography | High Fashion Fun
Posted on June 4, 2010
Another KISS senior, isn’t she amazing! I loved photographing Miranda. She had such a high fashion look and she was up for anything. I think the fact that she was so open to anything that made the shoot itself so magical and the results so amazing. Thanks Miranda! These will be on FB soon so you can tag yourself.

Denver Senior Photographer| KISS Seniors
Posted on June 3, 2010
Several weeks ago I had the honor of attending the KISS Senior shooting workshop put on my the Professional Photographers of Colorado. It was my first PPC event and I can’t wait to attend more. It was so much fun connecting and sharing ideas with other local photographers, and photographing the fabulous senior models as well.
I personally love doing senior shoots. The seniors I photograph are so much fun and are always up for anything which fuels my creative juices. We never fail to have a blast while capturing images that not only their parents will cherish but that they will love showing off to their friends too!
Over the next couple of days I am going to be posting images of the fantastic models I had the privilege of capturing . Here is the first
. Make sure you leave them some blog love because I know they are watching
.
Thanks for dropping by! I have the best stalkers in the world.

These boots were made for fun | Colorado Senior Photographer
Posted on November 23, 2009
“One must always have one’s boots on and be ready to go.”
Michel de Montaigne
So this weekend I had one of my favorite senior sessions to date. It was not my favorite because of the images (but I do love them) but instead because we had a lot of fun. One of the things I love most about photographing seniors is their zest for life and their willingness to try anything for the shot. This gorgeous girl was no exception! We had a great time and as you can see it comes across in her beautiful images. Also, I am in “LOVE” with her red cowboy boots. Of course who could not love red cowboy boots, right? Well I think what made them all the more special was that there was sentiment behind her wearing them. When she was a young girl she had a pair of red boots and she wore them “EVERYWHERE”; she and her boots were inseparable. There is something about the fact that she wore something special from her youth while taking photographs which are a celebration of her coming of age. I think it says a lot about her and who she is.
Thank you “C” for being such a joy to work with; I have no doubt you are going to take this world by storm!

“Don’t wait to make your son a great man – make him a great boy”
Unknown
Like many mothers before me I am finding it hard to believe that the sweet little boy they place in my arms almost 18 years ago is now a young man. My head is spinning with how quickly this time has passed. Soon my sweet boy will be graduating high school and then he will be off to make his way into the world. I would be lying if I did not admit that I am dreading the day he leaves the nest. Not because I do not trust that I have raised him well or that he will not be able to find his way; instead because I so enjoy having him part of my daily life. He has grown up to be an amazing young man and I am beyond proud that he is my son.
I have been so busy lately with clients that I wasn’t able to get around to taking his senior pictures until last week. Of course, this wasn’t a big deal for him because he would have preferred not having senior pictures taken at all. Well being the kind and generous son that I raised he humored me and allowed me to take his senior pictures. Anyone who knows my boy understands what a big deal this is because he absolutely hates having his picture taken. I am glad his love for me out shined his desire to hide from the lens. I have to say when all was said and done we had a really great time together while getting his shots. I would do it all over again a thousand times over. Thanks Kiddo!

Handsome seniors make my job easy | Colorado family photographer
Posted on September 21, 2009
So I got a call at the last minute to do a senior session for this amazingly handsome guy. He had other senior pictures taken but his mother did not like the results and I was asked to come to the rescue. Let me just say, he was such a good sport about it. Most teenage guys do not like having their pictures taken, so to go through a whole senior photo session a second time was a lot to ask. Heck, I am still trying to chase my 17 year old down so I can get his senior pictures taken. Needless to say he was not only fantastic about the whole thing, but he was willing to do whatever I asked which made my job so much more fun. Thank you for being such a good sport!
